CUSTOM TRUCKS

CUSTOM TRUCKS

There is so much to said about having a cool truck to drive. This truck is one of my favorite show trucks from Joplin in2018. The company that built it sold it to a guy who said he was going to run it like a regular truck.

Why would anyone do this to their truck? Pretty simply put it is a rolling billboard, or calling card for their business. What an operator wants is to be remembered for having that cool truck that the customer wants to see again, and again.

How much will a operator spend to deck out his truck? It is amazing the kind of money you can spend on one of these trucks. I don’t know what this one sold for but to say it was in the neighborhood of $200,000 is not a stretch at all.

When you go to a truck stop now days the cool trucks are few and the bubbled-out Volvos and Freightliners are many. I know I want to be the cool kid with this truck, don’t you?

It is still a business and I will say the fore mentioned trucks are very popular for their fuel mileage and creature comforts, but they just don’t have the class this Peterbilt does.
