Going out on a run part five - Working from the truck

Since I had been out with Ricardo once before I was better prepared that I was the first time around. First, I had changed my cellular service to Verizon and the reason for this? One word, “connectivity”. I had been asking guys who drive “what service do you use?”, and Verizon was the heavy favorite.

Next, I went out and bought a new laptop. I can be a thrifty shopper and I got a top-of-the-line last year’s model for a great price. Being a freight broker, I do not really need the best computer available it is more of a luxury than a necessity.

I must add Ricardo had just replaced the seats in the truck they were like most things my friend buys and they were not cheap. It was a very comfortable ride.

My customer knew I was coming to see him and that did not slow his need for trucks at all, I had to perform. Ricardo took great interest in helping me while I worked. Luckily, he has lots of friends and helped me fill some of my needs. Thank you again Ricardo.
