SUMMER ONLY TIRES!

This car is equipped with the 1LE Performance package that includes enhanced engine cooling, a retuned suspension, a limited-slip differential, Brembo brake components, 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels, summer only tires, and various interior and exterior modifications. Car and Driver wrote “With a chassis this good, the 1LE can take most corners at more than double the posted speed recommendations and makes slowing down f­­­or some curves entirely optional.”

Now that has a lot to do with the tires on that machine. The Goodyear F1 245/40ZR-20 front and 275/35ZR-20 back, help keep it on the road cornering at speeds you never dared try before. In warm weather I will say she is impressive.

The other day the wife said, “the tires were no good and we needed to replace them right away”. It was forty degrees outside when I left to test. I did inspect the tires before I left and found them to have tread close to new.

It was time to accelerate to highway speed. I stepped on the throttle a little too hard and it was like being on ice. I had to be gentle to get it to go. Now GG is resting until it gets warm again and she can run like she was meant too.
